Academic departments across campus offer classes focused on sustainability. The Environmental Studies Program, the Planning, Public Policy and Management Department, the Lundquist College of Business, and the School of Architecture and Allied Arts, and other departments offer classes and curriculum focused on sustainability.
Additionally, new programs and curriculum are being developed through the Meyer Fund for a Sustainable Environment to increase course offerings and to integrate sustainability into general education.

The Urban Farm serves as an educational model for productive urban land use,
where students learn about caring for soil, organic gardening, composting, and agricultural land issues.
