Staff, Administration, and Sustainabiltiy

The Staff and Administration of the University of Oregon have consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to creating a sustainable campus. From Facilities Services' purchasing of green products, to the University Planning Office's environmentally conscious policies, to the Department of Public Safety's rideshare program, UO Administration and Staff are helping to foster an atmosphere of environmental stewardship on campus.

Most recently, Former University President Dave Frohnmayer signed the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment, a high-visibility, nationwide effort to address global warming by garnering institutional commitments to neutralize greenhouse gas emissions and to accelerate the research and education efforts of higher education to equip society to re-stabilize the earth's climate.

There are ample opportunities for staff and administration to get involved in creating a sustainable environment on campus.  To find out more about specific projects and programs visit the Sustainability Database.
